Did you know that small businesses in Least Developed Countries (LDC’s) face significantly greater challenges when it comes to accessing finance?
41% of small and medium-sized enterprises in LDC’s say that lack of access to finance is holding them back. That’s nearly three times more than in high-income countries.
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are vital sources of jobs, income, and local development, especially for women, young people and vulnerable communities. Their adaptability make them key to building strong, inclusive and sustainable societies.
To help MSMEs thrive in Senegal, together with GreenTec Capital Africa Foundation, the TUI Care Foundation is supporting 100 local tourism businesses in the Petite Côte region.
TUI Futureshapers Senegal provides opportunities for training, access to capital, networking and market visibility. The project helps local entrepreneurs boost their business, strengthen the local economy and support 3,600 livelihoods.
MSMEs have the potential to be the drivers of sustainable growth and innovation. Together, it is possible to turn that potential into progress.
The TUI Futureshapers Senegal project has now successfully concluded.
